13. Perendale Ewe Fleece Rug, white.

Beautifully soft, lustrous fleece with long, wavey locks.

This rug still bears the shephard's mark (green).

Sheep running free on Bodmin Moor carry a different colour mark unique to the owner.

The Perendale sheep breed is a medium to large breed of sheep valued for their wool and their very tasty meat. They are equally successful for ranging in dry hill country of New Zealand from where they origin and here in East Cornwall.
